Transcript: FC Barcelona More than a club is a motto fitting FC Barcelona. A Catalan sports club founded by a Swiss footballer while on a vacation to visit his uncle in Barcelona, the team was an immediate success through its mix of Catalan, Swiss, and English personalities and influences. Within two years. However, despite the seemingly endless lists of honors (including 18 La Liga championships, 4 Cup Winners’ Cups, and 24 Copa del Rey championships) and stars that have played for the team (including Ronaldo, Romario, Rivaldo, Maradona, Cruyff, Stoitchkov, Figo, and Hagi, among others), what makes Barça more than a club is its history and relationship with the people of Catalonia. Reflection I learned a lot about FC Barcelona's culture and history by looking it up i realized that FC Barcelona started off small and became huge and popular because it never gave up. I gained doing this project because i learned new spanish words and how colors can represent a culture in many ways. I also learned traditions they do at FC Barcelona games and what they do to show their pride to their country. I developed being open minded because i had to open up to learning about a new country and their culture and how that culture relates soccer to it. I developed being an inquirer because i had to look farther into the history of FC Barcelona to see how it relates to its culture and in which ways it does represent it culture. I was curious and looked deeper into the information and found out that why they became so successful and how they got started and what they do to represent their culture IB Learner Profile Jersey Club's Culture By, Gina Bernabei The FC Barcelona change strip for the 2012/13 season merges orange and yellow in honour of the city’s culture, art, style and architecture. It has a classic orange collar with the famous Barça colours on the nape and sleeves. The back of the shirt also features the Catalan flag, and the ‘More Than a Club’ slogan on the inside of the collar, written in a typeface was specially chosen to reflect Catalan architecture. History Catlan Flag Club flags are waved, interspersed with the Senyeras, the flag of Catalonia, and they shout torero which means means bullfighter n appreciation of good play and exceptional skill. The term originated in the crowds at bullfights in response to daring moves by the fighters. Players are referred to as ‘el matador’ and the game ‘la corrida’, with fans waving white handkerchiefs in moments of deep emotion. In the museum it is full of trophies, including the European Cup won in 2006 and shirts from the club’s famous players such as Ronaldo and Maradona. On display is artwork from the club’s various anniversaries including a poster painted by Catalan artist Joan Miró and works by Salvador Dalí. The Catalan Flag, a series of horizontal red and yellow stripes, is thought to date from the 11th or 12th century. Commonly called the "Senyera," the flag was the symbol of the kingdoms of Aragon and Barcelona before being adopted by Catalan freedom fighters in 1932. One legend states that the flag's red and yellow stripes symbolize blood streaked across a golden shield, while many historians believe it was adapted from the Papal flag to demonstrate the King of Aragon's obedience to the church. The flags of Aragon and Valencia also incorporate the basic design of the Senyera.

Choking Drowning Heart Attacks Suffocation Electric Shock Severe Allergic Reactions Drug Overdose COMMON CAUSE OF SUDDEN DEATH BY: Layla Desrosiers CHOCKING FACTS CPR PowerPoint In 2000, 160 children ages 14 years or younger died from an obstruction of the respiratory tract due to inhaled or ingested foreign bodies. In 2001, an estimated 17,537 children 14 years or younger were treated in U.S. emergency departments for choking episodes. Coins were involved in 18% of all choking-related emergency department visits for children ages 1 to 4 years. More than 90% of deaths from foreign object occur in children younger than 5 years old Liquids are the most common cause of choking in infants, whereas balloons, small object and hard food are in children FACTS ABOUT CPR CPR is a lifesaving procedure that is performed when someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped, as in cases of electric shock, drowning, or heart attack. CPR is a combination of: Rescue breathing, which provides oxygen to a person's lungs. Chest compressions, which keep the person's blood circulating. Permanent brain damage or death can occur within minutes if a person's blood flow stops. Therefore, you must continue these procedures until the person's heartbeat and breathing return, or trained medical help arrives .CPR is most successful when started as quickly as possible, but you must first determine if it's necessary. It should only be performed when a person isn't breathing or circulating blood adequately. Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in adults. Most arrests occur in persons with underlying heart disease. CPR doubles a person's chance of survival from sudden cardiac arrest. 75% of all cardiac arrests happen in people's homes. The typical victim of cardiac arrest is a man in his early 60's and a woman in her late 60's. Cardiac arrest occurs twice as frequently in men compared to women. CPR was invented in 1960 There has never been a case of HIV transmitted by mouth-to-mouth CPR CPR is not just for heart attacks! Approximately 7 million adults and children suffer disabling injuries in their own homes and backyards each year, resulting from accidents which may require CPR, according to the American Heart Association.

Instructional Plan Template | Slide * My instructional plan on the CPR course for potential employees will be evaluated frequently in many aspects. Student Surveys on course Pop up performance tests for students (unannounced) Summative assessments that allow students to express whether or not they feel the course was helpful Plan for Implementation What is the learning problem or opportunity? The learning opportunity is a CPR course being offered to students of Boardman Corporate University who are interested in majoring in local hospital and/or hospitality career fields. 2. What is currently available? There are 4 credit hour courses offered to students that will train them in CPR Heart saver/AED courses for adults, children, and infants that better prepares them for emergency situations in their field. This course includes use of CPR manikins, written tests, and an atmosphere conducive to learning CPR What should be available? The course needs books that are allowed to be taken home for further review of the subject, scenarios of CPR situations, and also videos that can be viewed throughout the course. 4. Explain the gap analysis between what is available and what should be available. The gap between what is available and what should be available is the lack of funds warranted to purchase the materials and also planning real life scenarios for students to reenact. What is your recommended solution for filling the gap? There should be a fee warranted to pay for materials. Also, instructors should have templates of real life situations used for hands on activities during class. Classroom includes television and DVD player, CPR manikins (adults and infants), CPR books, and the use of PowerPoint presentation. Each set of manikins will be utilized by 2 students. So, 20 students in class, there will be 10 sets of manikins. Ratio will be 1:2 (manikin: student) The application setting will be in the classroom. The classroom will be set up with manikins on the floor. The class also has a section for taking the written test of the course that contains desks as well. Explanation of how the information about the learning context will be used in developing the instructional plan.
