Hibiscus

Transcript: Hibiscus plants usually need warm temperatures to survive. The Hibiscus has the best bud growth when the temperature is between 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit. However, hibiscus grows well in the sunlight. Hibiscus's are usually found in hot and bright sunlight places, such as Hawaii. Moist, but well-drained soil is very important for a hibiscus plant so it won't get over heated by the sunlight and become dried out. The scientific name for this plant is known as the rosa-sinenis. Malvastrum americanum: Kingdom: Plantae Division: Tracheophyta Class: Magnoliopsida Order: Malvales Family: Malvaceae Genus: Hibiscus L. Species: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Flowering Period: The Hibiscus plant can usually bloom all year long. Type of Stem: Rhizome. Type of Root: Taproots and Fibrous roots. Type of Cells: Collenchyma cells, parenchyma cells, and Sclerenchyma cells. Type of Tissue: Hibiscus has vascular tissues, dermal tissues, and ground tissues. Types of Leaves: The hibiscus plant has simple leaves. Uses for the Hibiscus Hibiscus By: Megan McDaid-O'Neill Taxonomy The common name for this plant is known as the Chinese Hibiscus. Hibiscus's Habitat Preferences Common Name Pollination The hibiscus plant does seed. Since it is not a fruit, its seeds are called gymnosperms. The hibiscus can be easily grown by seeds. The Hibiscus plant reproduces sexually when pollen comes from the male flower, which then reaches the female flower for fertilization. Bees are usually attracted to the Hibiscus plant because of its color. So the bees are the main transporters of the pollen from one flower to the other. When pollination is successful it results in producing seeds, which are in pods. Once pods mature, they crack open to release the seeds. The seeds then fall to the ground to produce more plants. Hibiscus Relatives Hibiscus plants can usually self-pollinate. The pollen starts to grow on the stamen, and then is transferred to the stigma pads of the pistil. From the pistil, the pollen finds its way to the ovules. Hibiscus flowers are usually pollinated by birds or insects which transfer the pollen from the stamen, to the stigma pads. The flower is used in many different perfumes. The leaves have been used as spinach. The red calyx is used for the preparation of jams, jellies, and cold and warm teas or drinks. Hibiscus flowers are often found as components of herbal tea mixtures. Hibiscus seeds can also be used for their nutritional and functional value. Malvaceae is known as the Hibiscus family. Sida acuta: Vascular or Nonvascular? How Does the Hibiscus Reproduce? Hibiscus's Life Cycle Seedless or Does it Have Seeds? Scientific Name The sporophyte undergoes meiosis to then produce haploid cells. These haploid cells then start to develop in a gametophyte. Which then undergoes meiosis to produce gametes. The gametes are then fertilized and forms a zygote. The zygote then undergoes mitosis to produce the Hibiscus flower. The hibiscus plant is vascular because it has vascular tissues. Vascular tissues provide structure and support throughout the whole hibiscus plant. Thespesia populnea: Structure of the Hibiscus

Popular game templates include: Family Feud Millionaire Jeopardy and other quiz shows. http://www.free-power-point-templates.com/deal-powerpoint-template/ Quick video on template "Millionaire" PowerPoint Games Some games are easier to make compared to others If users are unsure whether or not downloading certain templates is safe, you can actually make your own game by just simply using PowerPoint. add logo here References Example of a Family Feud Template PowerPoint Games are a great way to introduce new concepts and ideas You can create a fun, competitive atmosphere with the use of different templates You can change and rearrange information to correlate with the topic or idea being discussed. Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.
